The Faces Behind our Success

We Couldn’t Do It Without Them

Abbie

Hygienist

Originally from the Colville, WA area, my family moved to Clarkston when I was 12 years old. My husband, Rob, was born and raised in the Valley so we have deep roots here. We have a teenage son, Carter who attends CHS.

Right out of high school, I worked in the Radiology Department of St. Joseph Hospital for 10+ years. A life-changing opportunity presented itself in 2008 when LCSC opened it’s first Dental Hygiene program. I was accepted into the very first class and graduated in 2010. I absolutely love what I do and cannot imagine doing anything else!

The best part of dentistry is connecting with my patients. I understand dental anxiety and sensitive teeth and strive to make sure each appointment is comfortable and gentle. I have been working with Dr. Nash for 5 years and plan to be here for 20 more!

My husband and I are landscape and garden fanatics and spend lots of time taking care of all our living things. I like to read, especially anything by John Grisham. The whole family loves cats and we work with Helping Hands Rescue to foster kittens whenever we can. Our passion is travel and playing escape rooms and our favorite destinations are Las Vegas and Cancun. I love to talk travel with my patients, so if you have a good tip for me, I would love to hear it! We are a little bit nerdy and will watch anything related to the Marvel Universe.

Elaine

Financial Coordinator

I grew up in Lewiston, with my mom and two siblings. Shortly after graduating high school, I moved to Kailua Hawaii where I learned dental assisting with the 21st Dental Company on Kaneohe Marine Corps Base. After three years living in Hawaii I moved back to Lewiston where I started dating my now husband, Kenn. We moved to Salt Lake City for his job, where I worked as Lead Dental Assistant and Back Office Manager. As Kenn’s career advanced, it lead us live in a variety of places like Seattle WA and then on to Las Vegas NV where we had our son Logan. I continued my career in dental while gaining more knowledge with dental assisting and front office. After five years in Las Vegas, we decided to move back to Lewiston, where we opened a coffee shop and had our daughter Piper. After four years in the coffee shop business, my husband was offered a career change that brought our family to Overland Park KS. There I worked as the single assistant and ran the front desk for a newer office helping build the practice. After two years, we decided that moving home to Lewiston was the best path for raising two children.
Outside of Dentistry by Design, I enjoy family time, going on hikes, backpacking trips, bike rides, and hanging out at home watching movies or playing games.

Irene

Assistant

I was born and raised in Lewiston, graduated high school, and married a few days later.

My husband’s job in construction moved us around Washington. While we were living in Bellingham, I attended a Vo-tech and earned my certificate in dental assisting.

After returning to Lewiston, I continued my career in Dentistry, and I have since gained experience working in local offices. I enjoy forming relationships with our patients and assisting the doctor and keeping the office running smoothly.

When not at work, some of my other activities are attending church or going out to the cabin at Deer Creek with our dog Pete.

I love to spend time in my yard working in the garden or mowing with the lawn tractor.

Kaitlynn

Schedule Coordinator

My name is Kaitlynn, and I was born and raised in Culdesac, ID. I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we have two girls, BlaykeLee (6) and BrynnLee (4), who keep us very busy.

I am fairly new to the dentistry field and have only been in it a little over a year. I really enjoy working with my coworkers and getting to know and help each and every one of our patients.

When I am not working, I am either camping, fishing, riding side by sides, hunting, or just enjoying the outdoors.

Meredith

assistant

I received my dental assistant certification in Anchorage, Alaska 2009 from the Assist to Succeed Dental Assisting School at Alaska’s Premier Dental Group. I raised my two sons and worked as a part-time, fill-in dental assistant and cake decorator for several years while living in Alaska, Florida, and Alabama. In 2006, we moved to Lewiston, and it has been my favorite place to live.

I like deer hunting, working in my garden, and crocheting. I’ve been working as a full-time assistant since 2007. I enjoy helping patients have the best experience they can, and you will usually find me cracking a cheesy joke.
